The Challenge
- ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) is increasingly gaining focus in Hong Kong.
- While these concepts may seem distant and challenging to achieve, the development of Zero2 aims to express the essence of ESG to the general public.
- It is essential to promote ESG and environmental messages to every individual in the community and to put them into practice.
The Objective
- By digitizing and aligning ESG initiatives with daily sustainable living actions, Zero2 aspires to cultivate a sustainable ecosystem by incentivizing individuals through a merchant loyalty program geared towards a net-zero future.
- This initiative not only promotes ESG to the general public but also nurtures a deep sense of environmental mission and social responsibility.
The Solution
At Prizm, we supported the app development to bring Zero2’s solution and concept to life.
- Launch of Zero2 – a mobile app driven by Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles
- The concept for the Zero app originates from Negawatt, with PRIZM assisting in the creation of the app's structure and ecosystem.
- PRIZM has designed and developed a gamified ESG app that empowers users to easily engage in carbon reduction missions directly from their smartphones.
- Users are presented with a range of missions dedicated to diminishing carbon emissions.

- By offering customized solutions for corporations and personalized experiences for individuals, the platform’s captivating UI/UX, member ranking features, and collaborative challenges encourage active user engagement and incentivize environmentally conscious actions.

- Real-life gamification transforms sustainable daily practices into measurable carbon reduction outcomes.

- Zero2 serves as an essential tool for employee engagement in ESG initiatives, providing quantifiable data to support their commitments.
- Zero2 offers exclusive incentives to encourage user participation in various ESG activities.
The Sparkling Spots
- Zero2 has collaborated with the Hong Kong Housing Society to unveil the "Community ESG Programme 萬家減碳FUN獎賞" in celebration of its 75th anniversary. This initiative encompasses all residents across 20 estates, with staff members also invited to partake.
- From July to December 2023, participants from the Housing Society have the opportunity to join the event and engage in carbon reduction missions.
- The participant who achieves the highest carbon reduction will have the chance to win an exceptional grand prize valued at over HKD $300,000, which includes a Tesla Model Y electric car.
The Result
- In just one month, over 14,000 users have registered for Zero2 accounts, forming or joining ESG communities.
- Zero2 has ascended to a coveted top 3 position in the Lifestyle category on the Google Play Store's download chart in the first month.
