Challenge

It was a challenge for DBS to stand out from the competitors as Lai See Packet distribution is common across every bank. Previous CNY digital campaigns only reached potential customers through Facebook - Wall games or strictly online activations. The distribution of large quantities of Lai See packets is a hassle and which involve a lot of work from the offline operation team which is highly unfavorable

Solutions

By building an automated distribution process, audience can receive their red packets from completing the sign-up process at the digital vending machine. In the sprit of the Year of the Pig, DBS designed unique red packets that the participants can redeem as rewards after interacting with our digital dispenser. 3 popular locations were arranged for redemption including K11, TOP & LKF.

Leveraging the convenience of Chatbot

By deploying the workflow with Facebook Chatbot, audience was targeted via Facebook Ads to drive direct conversion. Chatbot provides an interactive experience which the users can create their own Red Packet Quotes as well as completing the registration. Users can be retargeted thru Chatbot with follow-up promotional messages or invitations to other CNY events.
